One of the things that we had to realize very quickly is that we’re not creating Church services but rather we’re a podcasting blog for families and individuals that borrows liturgical forms for the basis of its script.
The form of both our “liturgy” and our “lectionary” have to consider many different possible listening situations such as how it will be experienced by – a family sitting in their living room with a candle and an icon – a person listening while at the gym on the treadmill – someone listening on the daily commute to work – and many other possibilities between.
Such considerations led us to many conclusions and decisions that we perhaps would not have made for Church services in the local parish.
We ask for everyone to please extend us grace as we seek to remain faithful to the tradition and to operate in a context entirely new to mankind.
